From the items on the belt, it was a husband and father in front of me. I will never forget his face when he saw the total costs of his groceries show up on the screen. I almost felt bad. It was at the tail end of COVID. It looked like he got sent to the store, with an extensive and detailed list. He double-checked all of the items in his two shopping carts (yes, two!), against his long list.
I am not sure if it was he or his wife who added a bouquet of flowers to the list, but I want to believe that it was him and that he brought them home for her. Sweet. I was afraid the flowers would get cut once he was asked to settle the bill but, extra credit, he kept the flowers.

Spring is here, and with it comes the perfect opportunity to give your home a fresh start. Spring cleaning is a time-honored tradition that provides a chance to declutter, reorganize, and deep clean your living space. This annual clean-up can help you eliminate items you no longer need, create more storage space, and give your home a clean, bright, and rejuvenated look. Whether you tackle your spring cleaning in one day or spread it out over the course of a few weeks, the end result will be a refreshed home that's ready to welcome the new season.
You feel good about the amount of water you drank, you got your workout in and even prepared a healthy dinner. Sounds like a pretty good day, right?
Then the late-night-snacking creeps in, you can't resist and just like that it feels like all the good choices you made during the day are washed down the drain. So frustrating! Exercise has a profound impact on our mindset and ability to face challenges throughout the day. It not only provides physical benefits, but it also helps clear our minds and improve our moods. In fact, research shows that exercise in the morning can help us better face the challenges that arise as the day evolves.
This is a hectic time of year, and it can be tough to prioritize self-care. In the midst of our busy schedules (full of work and social events, never-ending to-do lists, and Christmas preparations), it can be tempting to neglect our health. Healthy and sustainable weight loss can be tricky and frustrating. With hundreds of fad diets on the market promising quick and easy methods to lose weight, along with conflicting reports in the media, it can be difficult to know where to begin.
