professional background
Katy was formerly a high school English teacher, stay-at-home parent of three, and most recently worked at a private high school in a one-on-one setting where she taught and mentored teens in courses like creative writing, personal narrative, mindfulness, yoga, and wellness.
She attended Duke Integrative Medicine’s Health Coach training program because she sees a need for a different approach to health and wellness in our society and became a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach in 2019.

Good & Well Health Coaching
In her time teaching, Katy saw that many teens and families needed mentoring, coaching, and support outside of the classroom and knows that the mental and physical health of our families is paramount. When one member is struggling, it affects everyone. Katy utilizes different coaching techniques and at the heart of her practice is mindfulness, for herself and her clients. This is a powerful way to glean insights that become catalysts for behavior change.
Katy loves supporting all people on their wellness journeys and will work with anyone that has a goal, dream, or hope for a more fulfilling life. She especially enjoys working with teens, young adults and families, and believes in their ability to transcend the struggles and challenges they face. She believes that everyone, no matter their age, has the potential to make meaningful changes in their lives.
