professional background
Samantha Anderson works with women in their midlife helping them feel fabulous. Her journey to health coaching was a personal one. As she entered her 50’s, she was stressed and run down from a busy job and a complex home life. Her weight started to creep up, her brain didn’t seem as sharp and focused, and she suffered from crippling anxiety attacks.
She didn’t want to enter menopause beset by one difficult symptom after the next, so she cast about looking for solutions. A friend introduced her to Functional Medicine, and her new doctor sent her for lab tests which showed inflammation in her gut, gluten sensitivity, Hashimoto’s thyroid disease, and autoimmune antibodies.
They discovered the root cause of her inflammation and removed the food triggers that had caused the brain fog, anxiety, and weight gain. Slowly her symptoms began to improve. This journey led her to want to help others. Getting a handle on her health helps her empathize with you and your health challenges. She loves to listen, connect, and help people find their way to their authentic selves, dreams, and passions.

Samantha received her coaching certification from the prestigious Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, and affiliate of the Institute for Functional Medicine, and is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. She is also certified to work with clients on reversing cognitive decline, using The Bredesen Protocol, a science-based prevention and recovery program for brain health.
Her amazing skills continue! She is also a Reiki Master, and uses this healing practice in her coaching. Reiki is holistic in its approach, and like functional medicine, it works not only on the symptoms experienced, but also the root causes of imbalances.

Her job was to facilitate conversations which led to transformational impact. When she decided to become certified as a health coach, she saw a direct connection with her professional skill set and what a health coach does.
