A couple of months ago, during a coaching conversation I asked my client what she would like to focus on during the session, and she said: “I think I am suffering from cooking fatigue, is that a thing?”
Her comment took me back to the days when I would cringe when my kids asked: “What's for dinner, Mom?” It was a question that could take me from being totally fine to all stressed out in an instant. Can you relate? Do you ever hear people complain about feeling tired and exhausted? Maybe it’s you who feels that way? Fatigue is a problem that affects people everywhere, no matter the age or background. Sleep disruptions can come from long work hours, stressful school schedules, inconsistent sleep patterns or general stress and anxiety. Whatever the cause, chronic fatigue can seriously impact your ability to function normally.
You feel good about the amount of water you drank, you got your workout in and even prepared a healthy dinner. Sounds like a pretty good day, right?
Then the late-night-snacking creeps in, you can't resist and just like that it feels like all the good choices you made during the day are washed down the drain. So frustrating! Are you getting flooded with advertising about products and how they can improve your immune system? True, immunity is now more essential to our day-to-day lives than it has ever been before, especially after the past few years. We keep looking for ways to strengthen our body's immune system and maintain our health, especially during the cold and flu season.
Luckily there are a number of simple adjustments that you can make to "uplevel" our immune function. Ready? Grab a pen and paper, take notes and start today. Here are five things you can do every day, starting today, to boost your immunity. |
