professional background
Rhonda was an educator for over twenty years. She taught kindergarten, Sunday School for both children and adults, and led theater groups. Now, as a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, she sees the education skills she’s cultivated over her career come alive, fully intertwined within all she does as a coach.
Rhonda pursued the NBC-HWC credentials because she appreciates the professionalism, standards and requirements that it stands for. In addition to adhering to their code of ethics, the National Board requires coaches to meet minimum standards, including continuing education requirements. As an educator, Rhonda truly believes in the value of lifelong learning.

Her favorite coaching tool is questioning—asking the right “high mileage” question that leads a client to an aha! moment, helping identify a problem or solution that's acceptable for each individual.
“I love and appreciate watching lives change right in front of me.”
Seeing a client work through the change process is a true gift to Rhonda. She tells her clients that they do the hard work but her reward is in watching them go from uncertainty to empowerment to graduating from her program in confident independence!

On a Personal Note
Rhonda is married to her high school sweetheart, Kevin … they’ve been going strong for 33 years now! They have two adult children, Julia and Mitchell, aged 26 and 24 respectively. Rhonda is married to her high school sweetheart … they’ve been going strong for 33 years now! They have two adult children, Julia and Mitchell, aged 26 and 24, and very much enjoy watching them grow on their own journeys. Rhonda says, “parenting children and into adulthood has been the most rewarding and challenging privilege I've had in this life.”
Any activity with her family is a favorite activity, but some common ones are camping, biking, hiking, walking on the beach, traveling to explore new places and reading.
Her personal mantra has become “This too shall pass! Keep looking up!” … because, isn’t that the TRUTH?! She also rests easy remembering this verse: "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."—Jeremiah 29:11
Rhonda prioritizes a sustainable healthy lifestyle, as she strongly believes in nourishing her whole body, mind and spirit. Her daily list includes spending time with her favorite family, friends, and God; reading daily devotions; exercising; eating nutritious foods; separating work from home life and drinking plenty of water.
She believes in practicing what she knows to be best for her own health and wellness. She likes to “walk her talk” so she too can live her best life.
