Has digestive discomfort ever caused you not to enjoy a day or a special occasion the way you planned?
How smoothly your digestion works can truly make or break your day, especially when you deal with chronic discomfort. Constant acid reflux, bloating, gas, or nausea are things you don't want to have to deal with ever -- much less daily. Your body is a fine tuned machine and able to do a whole lot of healing by itself when you give it what it needs. You might have heard that the medical experts got a better understanding of the fact that gut health is directly related to our immune system. Did you know that metabolic health also plays a key role in how our body functions and that it helps allow our body to heal itself, by itself?
Is your metabolism out of whack? Maybe you are just interested in keeping your metabolism at its best to support that fine tuned machine of yours and make sure it is running smoothly? You can make a few simple tweaks to your lifestyle that will improve your metabolic health and overall wellbeing. You feel good about the amount of water you drank, you got your workout in and even prepared a healthy dinner. Sounds like a pretty good day, right?

By: Bree Gorman, MPH, NBC-HWC and Caitlin Boyd, NBC-HWC We get asked all the time, “What do you eat in a day?” The perception is largely that as health coaches we eat perfectly, exercise perfectly, and live perfectly zen lives. In reality, we are real human beings. We drink adult beverages, we eat sugary treats, and there are plenty of days exercise just doesn’t happen.
How have you been eating lately? Most people answer this question with an explanation of their diet, by listing specific foods that they eat, and maybe sharing whether or not they think they should be eating them.
